The Studio:

Facilities

The Studio is used primarily for stills photography, with an emphasis on portrait, beauty, fashion and editorial work.

Although not a sound stage, the studio is used by film and video companies to make television commercials, with post production dubbing and sets built accordingly. The studio area is 48' x 28' x 14' (15m x 8.5m x 4.5m approximately)

The Studio Lighting consists of electronic flash used with the Bowens Hi-Glide roof tracking system, holding an Elinchrom 1.8m2 Octagonal, Strip and Spotlights with three 3K and two 2.4K Flash Packs. In addition, there are two Broncolour Hazylights with 404 Flash Packs and a Wind Machine available for hire.

On either side of the Studio a 30 amp ring main with 13 amp sockets will allow two 4kw or four x 2.5kw Tungsten lights. Provision has been made for 63 amp CEE form red socket 3 phase and Tungsten, HMI and CID type lamps can be hired in if required. Seamless 9' and 12' paper backgrounds slide on rails and a white infinity cove is located in the corner of the Studio.

The models' changing room The Models' Changing Room is designed with both privacy and convenience in mind. The room boasts three make-up areas, a backwash basin, generous clothes railing and a private wash room. An additional changing room is available on the first floor, if required.

The changing room is also home to Lichfield's extensive collection of Polaroid images; an informal glimpse at forty years of his photography.

The Meeting Room, known affectionately by staff and regular visitors to Lichfield Studios as simply "123", is a spacious and versatile area, the perfect place to relax away from the action during a busy shoot.

The meeting room '123' A telephone and entertainment facilities add to the comfort of this private area which is conveniently adjoined to the model changing room. Boasting a well equipped kitchen area, options exist for a diverse range of catering arrangements - from sandwiches to banquets!

Alternatively, a short stroll to Notting Hill provides a choice of stylish bistros, restaurants and first rate shopping.
